Our wedding ceremony was nothing short of incredible, with a unique twist that reflected our personalities. We opted for an officiant who was not only familiar with same-sex couples but also a close friend of Niya’s – Kim Klenk, a godsend in every sense. Her presence brought a sense of comfort and warmth to the entire experience. As we exchanged vows beneath a picturesque sky with just the right amount of sunshine, I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed with emotion.

The moment my dad handed me over to my loving wife was especially poignant, leaving me tearful as I gazed at her radiant smile. The highlight of our ceremony came when we turned to our family and friends, asking for their support and commitment to our union. The resounding chorus of ‘We do’ from the crowd touched our hearts deeply, solidifying the sense of unity and love that surrounded us.

Our vows were a beautiful reflection of our devotion to each other, promising to care for one another selflessly, love without condition, and cherish our bond forevermore. As we danced down the aisle, officially Mrs. & Mrs. Chaney, it felt as though a significant barrier had been breached, allowing us to celebrate our love with unbridled joy and confidence.
