Meanwhile, I experienced a bit of clumsiness when tossing the bouquet, as it turned out to be much heavier than expected, leaving me feeling quite literally grounded.

What was the most important lesson you learned from your elegant weed wedding?

Having lived with severe Bipolar Disorder for some time, I’ve experienced firsthand the unpredictability of manic episodes. As my big day approached, I was hit with a particularly intense episode, leaving me feeling anxious and unprepared for the wedding. To mitigate this risk, it’s crucial to surround yourself with a reliable support system – people who can help you manage your emotions and keep you grounded.

In my case, having close friends by my side proved invaluable in helping me avoid getting swept up in the excitement of the champagne toast and keeping me calm throughout the celebration. Additionally, working with a professional wedding planner was a lifesaver, as they helped take some of the burden off my shoulders and allowed me to focus on enjoying the experience rather than worrying about every little detail.

When the world around us shifted suddenly, we were forced to rethink our original plans – including our wedding. As many brides before me had done, I had to adapt and find a new solution. We’d recently moved into our first home and invested a significant amount of time and effort into making it ours, so it only made sense that we would celebrate in the comfort of our own backyard.

What started as a humble gathering space transformed into a vibrant party zone, complete with a dazzling disco ball installation, retro-inspired furniture, a checkered floor, and an expertly curated bar area for our guests to enjoy. It was truly the highlight of the night!

The couple opted for a stylish combination of attire, with the groom-to-be purchasing his suit from Men’s Wearhouse. The bride-to-be, meanwhile, chose her dress from David’s Bridal. To ensure that their big day went off without a hitch, they also enlisted the help of a trusted wedding planner, Kara Ison. Additional details were handled by Miss Lucy at David’s Bridal for any necessary alterations to the attire. When it came time to fuel their celebration, Bold BBQ took care of the catering needs.
