In the realm of dark elegance and mystery, a team of vendors conjured up a dream wedding that would leave everyone in awe. The idea was born over drinks at a local mixer, centered around a lovely couple they had in mind. Cillia of Marion Matrimony Events proposed the concept of a Sleepy Hollow Wedding, and everyone was on board! The event planners brought their expertise to the table, with Devils River Distillery being the perfect fit for an inspired gothic wedding shoot.

The venue’s bourbon-infused desserts, whiskey tower (instead of a champagne wall), and rich color palette of purples, dark oranges, black, and gold created the perfect atmosphere for a night to remember. The highlight of the evening was the stunning black wedding dress paired with a beautiful floral back tattoo, which added an extra layer of sophistication. The gorgeous black wedding cake with gold accents and flowers was another showstopper.

Halloween wedding enthusiasts, get ready for some serious inspiration! As we ventured into the green room, where models Frankie and Kim were getting prepped for the shoot, we couldn’t help but be impressed by the expert artistry at work on the floral back tattoo. The contrast between the white suit and the rich, dark color palette of the boutonnière was also a highlight.

Meanwhile, the personalized invites created just for the day, also by Marion Matrimony Events, were a delicious mix of Victorian vibes and Art Nuevo typography. Elegant enough to hang on your wall! Jaylin & Rachel, played by models Frankie and Kim, perfectly captured the essence of this gothic celebration as they took their places at Devils River Distillery.

The old, polished woods, tall ceilings with crystal chandeliers, and dark color palette created a moody atmosphere that was simply captivating. The first half of the happy couple instantly owned the entire room in classic white tuxedos and plenty of sass. And centerstage, the perfect floral tattoo delicately meandered across their back as if growing from the black lace that framed it.

A better view of the bar-as-altar revealed a beautifully designed space, complete with deep purples of the wedding party’s attire and florals. The contrast between the black lace wedding dress and the white suit was simply stunning! It was time to raise a glass! The whiskey tower, each glass with a decorative hanging name tag, added a touch of sophistication to an already unforgettable evening.

Cassie and Chris’s wedding at a cocktail bar was an exercise in understated elegance. They eschewed traditional decor in favor of letting the existing ambiance speak for itself, with only subtle nods to their black tie theme. The real showstopper was the table settings, which featured ghostly trees, tawny goblets, and place cards attached to dried fruit – a masterclass in restraint.

But the true pièce de résistance was the first dance, captured on what looked like heavenly clouds (albeit with some judicious photo editing). It’s easy to see why this moment will be etched in the memories of their guests forever. And even outside the venue, where the couple posed for a more down-to-earth shot, there was a sense of magic lingering in the air.
